I thought the loading screen was was the entire game at first, almost quit!

Quite a difficult game! It looks great though, although a bit busy & difficult to see what's going on.

You can press enter to bring up a menu to address the background, though as most people have missed this i might make this the default

Poor game, but I suspect this is someone's first try with a framework. I think it needs more polish, like when a bullet hits someone. Also some instructions would be useful. And a story, maybe give purpose to what we're seeing. Oh, and that health bar seems quite disconnected, it didn't follow my character at all!
